On July 7th (Friday), the Tanabata Festival, a traditional Japanese summer event, was held at the Cell Shrine on the premises of our Otaru Research Institute. The event was full of fun activities such as "Japan's Tanabata Mini Summer Festival (flower scooping, yo-yo fishing with small treasures)", "rose petal special jam making", and "sushi using Otaru seafood". In the evening, we moved to the beach and had a "Russian Tanabata" with everyone.
It was a wonderful Tanabata day that will remain in the memories of all the participants.
