On July 7th (Friday), the Tanabata Festival, a traditional Japanese summer event, was held at the Cell Shrine on the premises of our Otaru Research Institute. The event was full of fun activities such as ❖Japan's Tanabata Mini Summer Festival (flower scooping, yo-yo fishing with small treasures)❖, ❖rose petal special jam making❖, and ❖sushi using Otaru seafood❖. In the evening, we moved to the beach and had a ❖Russian Tanabata❖ with everyone.
It was a wonderful Tanabata day that will remain in the memories of all the participants.
